BEGIC - Eastern International University (EIU) has inaugurated its lighting lab, one of the most modern ones in Vietnam.

The event welcomed Mai Hung Dung, Member of Provincial Standing Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee and Carel Richter, Holland’s new Consul General in HCM city.

The lighting lab is the result of cooperation between Dutch firm Philips Lighting, Binh Duong-based Becamex Investment and Industrial Development Corporation (Becamex IDC) and Eastern International University (EIU). The lab is the first move towards building a smart city in Binh Duong.

After being put into operation, the lab will serve in teaching lighting science at the university. It will help EIU students approach and practice modern lighting technologies of Philips with the supports of experts from Dutch firm Philips Lighting. Experiences from Philips’ projects in Vietnam will help students in their real working environment.
