The second Smart City Summit-2017 is designed with many activities including Hackathon Contest, Binh Duong Smart City Summit 2017 and an exhibition titled Smart City at the provincial Exhibition and convention Center.

These activities aims at drawing further participations of departments, mass organizations, universities, research institutes, enterprises and the public to the project of Binh Duong Smart City. The cooperation between The State, enterprises and scientists in building Binh Duong smart city is expected to be boosted. The summit will include workshops titled "Chances and challenges in investing and absorbing investment in building a smart city" and "Policies and application of scientific and technological advances in building a smart city – Chances and challenges for Binh Duong"

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Mai Hung Dung emphasized that the second Smart City Summit is an important event that requires good preparations for the complete success. He urged individuals and organizations involved in the event to sketch out detailed plans and submit to the People's Committee for approval. Other works he added include preparing expenditure for the event that should come from the state budget and funding activities. More attention should be paid to the task of propaganda about the smart city of Binh Duong, he said.
