​If durian is considered as typical fruit of Southern region, then Lai Thieu mangosteen is typical fruit of Binh Duong. Probably due to the adaptation to soil and climate of Lai Thieu area, therefore mangosteen has particularly delicious flavor than any other places. Mangosteen is considered regional specialties fruit of Lai Thieu land, honored the top 50 famous specialty fruit of Vietnam from 2012 August to 2013 by Vietnam Record Organization. Lai Thieu Mangosteen has continued recognized by National Office of Intellectual Property - Ministry of Science and technology Vietnam as a collective mark.

Mangosteen is grown in Lai Thieu, Thuan An Town, Binh Duong Province has a sweet taste with a hint of sweet sour, soft and silky. In addition of eating fresh, mangosteen is used to make salad, smoothies, ice cream, which cater for guests to visit Lai Thieu garden.
