Through the content of your company, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment commented on above issues as follows:
1. For Sunduck Vina Co., Ltd:
From 2015 up to now, The Department of Natural Resources and Environment has received 01 feedback from MEITO Co., Ltd about Sun Duck Vina Co., Ltd during fabrication activities, dust have affected MEITO's operations and workers in December 2015.
Accordingly, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment has cooperated with the Management Board of Industrial Zones and representatives of MEITO Co., Ltd. checked and verified, the result show that, the content reflected is correct, the main cause is that, the system of collecting and treating dust in cloth bags is not effective and the ventilation system installed is not suitable. After inspection team requested to fix, Sun Duck Vina Co., Ltd. has installed spray system to minimize dust generation and gave the entire cleanup workers collecting dust cloth to MEITO Vietnam Co., Ltd and has been confirmed the fix in document dated January 27th 2016. At the same time, through inspection, has violated Sun Duck Vina Co., Ltd. the act of improperly implementing the content of commitment to environmental protection with the amount of 4 million dong. From the end of 2015, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment has not received a letter of complaint about environmental pollution of MEITO Vietnam Co., Ltd for Sun Duck Vina Co., Ltd.
However, in May 2016, through the grasp of situation, Environmental Police Department has unscheduled inspections for Sun Duck Vina Co., Ltd, through inspection has detected the violation: incorrectly implementing the content of commitment to environmental protection and and exhaust emissions exceeding permitted standards, have advised through the provincial People's Committee and transfer records of the Department inspectorate issued sanctioning decisions with a total amount of 175 million, request to take corrective measures as prescribed. In the coming time, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment will continue to coordinate with the Management Board of Industrial Zone, Environmental Police Department to inspect and supervise the implementation of regulations about environmental protection of Sun Duck Vina Co., Ltd.
2. For Tung Shin Co., Ltd
From 2015 up to now, Department of Natural Resources and Environment received reflection 2 times from YC-TEC Vietnam Co., Ltd about Tung Shin Industry Co., Ltd's activities that generate dust and smoke affect of employee's life of YC-TEC Company, specifically:
- In July 2015, according to YC-TEC Company's reflection, Department of Natural Resources and Environment has checked, verified, the result showed that, the content reflected is correct, cause is that, Tung Shin Company has not well controlled the process of collecting aluminum slag into broth and the process of transferring aluminum slag to treatment unit, so the slag dust disperses around. At the same time, the Company has 03 aluminum furnaces using fuel for burning fuel, which is CNG fuel, of which 02 newly built furnaces and 01 old furnace have an open structure so the exhaust gas has not been thoroughly collected and dispersed into the environment. Through the inspection was handled in violation to the Tung Shin Company for acts of improperly implementing one of the contents of approved environmental protection scheme with the amount of 40 million dong and requested to perform remedial measures.
The company has installed a dust collection and treatment system from the process of collecting aluminum slag into storage area according to the treatment process as follows: smoke exhaust, dust, suction, pipeline, exhaust fan, exhaust gas treatment system (the treatment plan approved by the Management Board of Industrial Zones in Document No.878/BQL-MT dated August 12nd 2015), at the same time, it has turned to new technology with closed furnaces, exhaust fumes from aluminum processing are collected on the treatment system.
- In August 2016, voters reflected that Tung Shin Company sometimes emitted flammable gases, smell of chemicals that affect people's lives, Department of Natural Resources and Environment has checked and verified, through inspection, resquested Tung Shin Company to review and check the process of collecting, treating and disposing of waste gas so not affect to the surrounding environment. Through post-verification monitoring process, Head of the neighborhood confirmed in the document dated August 29th, the company has corrected situation, exhaust fumes, odors are acceptable and inconsiderable.
In the coming time, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment will continue to coordinate with the Management Board of Industrial Zone, Environmental Police Department to inspect and supervise the implementation of regulations about the environmental protection of Tung Shin Industry Co., Ltd.
