Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi congratulated the relationship between the two localities more and more sustainable, profound and comprehensive.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that in 2002, the economic and social targets of Binh Duong were achieved and exceeded the plan. Attracting domestic and foreign investment reached about 6 billion USD. Binh Duong is one of the leading provinces and cities in the country in terms of economic development. In 2023, Binh Duong will continue to focus on investment in transport infrastructure, including two highways connecting to two international border gates of Cambodia, Moc Bai (Tay Ninh province) and Hoa Lu (Binh Phuoc province). This is an important foundation for Vietnam and Cambodia to jointly develop their economies. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that Kandal has a favorable geographical position, adjacent to Phnom Penh capital, he hoped the province will have strong economic development steps.

Mr. Mao Phrun said, Kadal is a large province in 25 provinces and cities of Cambodia; an area of more than 32,000 km2; population is about 1.3 million people. Currently, the province has 10 districts, 01 city, 120 communes and wards. The Cambodian government has also approved the establishment of two new cities in Kandal. Currently, the province has 485 factories and enterprises. Per capita income is over 2,064 USD. This visit demonstrated the relationship of solidarity, friendship and cooperation between Cambodia and Vietnam under the motto: Good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, long-term sustainability.
He also conveyed New Year's greetings from the Governor of Kandal province to the leaders and people of Binh Duong. On this occasion, he invited Secretary Nguyen Van Loi, together with leaders of the province, departments, committees and branches to visit Kandal in the near future.
At the invitation of Mr. Mao Phrun, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi promised that Binh Duong would visit Kandal province as soon as possible.
