Enterprises make positive contributions to pandemic prevention and control
On behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Binh Duong province, Secretary Nguyen Van Loi would like to thank the valuable contributions of enterprises in the province's pandemic prevention and control over the past time. That contribution and support has cheered, encouraged, and positively contributed to the province to basically control the pandemic. On this occasion, the Secretary wished to listen to the opinions and recommendations of enterprises so that provincial leaders and functional branches can understand, really accompany and solve difficulties and obstacles.
At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh informed a number of outstanding results in the Covid-19 prevention and control and socio-economic development of Binh Duong province. The Covid-19 pandemic with the fast-spreading Delta variant has had a profound impact on all socio-economic activities in the Southern provinces, of which the hardest hit is in Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong. However, with the synchronous and drastic participation of branches, levels, enterprise community, the spirit of solidarity and consensus of the entire society, the people's confidence, the pandemic in the province has been basically controlled, the economy and society have achieved many positive results. In the first 9 months of 2021, the Index of industrial production increased by 2.93%; total retail sales of goods and services increased by 1.9%; export turnover increased by 26.7%, import turnover increased by 34% over the same period in 2020. Especially, the province has attracted over 1.5 billion USD in foreign investment.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that by the beginning of October 2021, when the pandemic situation is basically under control, Binh Duong has gradually loosened social distancing, reopened socio-economic activities, restored production, business, trade and services in the new normal. The province has actively established a Working group led by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, actively engaged in dialogue and meeting to solve difficulties and obstacles of enterprises. At the same time, the enterprise community in the province has united, innovated, created and accompanied the government and employees to overcome difficulties and challenges through specific activities such as: Arranging suitable production plans ("3 on the spot", "01 road, 02 destinations", "3 green"), cutting production costs reasonably, increasing care costs for employees, etc. Up to now, enterprises are urgently preparing to resume operations under new normal conditions, moving towards normal, it is expected that by the end of October 2021, about 90% of enterprises will have resumed operations.
In addition to direct funding for pandemic prevention and control, enterprises also support workshops to set up field hospitals and fully equip them with facilities, donate medical equipment, support programs such as "ATM - Lifesaving medicine bag", "ATM - Anti-pandemic oxygen" to help collect and treat tens of thousands of patients. These are noble gestures that come from patriotism, solidarity, compatriotism, self-awareness, taking on the responsibility of sharing with society of enterprises. This has contributed significantly to the anti-pandemic achievements of Binh Duong today.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Vo Van Minh praised and expressed his most sincere thanks to the contributions of the enterprise community that have supported and donated equipment, biological products, medical supplies, workshops for pandemic prevention and control and efforts to adapt to the pandemic to restore production and business.
Creating all conditions for enterprises to restore production
At the meeting, many enterprises shared about difficulties in production and business activities due to the impact of Covid-19, as well as raised suggestions and recommendations on solutions to solve difficulties for enterprises.

Mr. Mai Huu Tin - Chairman of Binh Duong Enterprise Federation highly appreciated the province's support for enterprises during the pandemic period. That has increased confidence for enterprises to continue investing and developing production in Binh Duong. However, according to Mr. Tin, the province needs to pay attention to retaining employees, especially dealing with housing needs so that employees can "settle down and work" and have a long-term attachment to Binh Duong.
Agreeing with this point of view, Ms. Vu Kieu Nu - Chairman of Binh Duong Women Entrepreneurs Association said that besides taking care of places to eat and stay, the province also needs more activities to take care of the spiritual life of employees.
Meanwhile, Mr. Dien Quang Hiep - Chairman of Binh Duong Furniture Association wished the province to create favorable conditions for small and medium enterprises to restore production, agreeing with localities on circulation plans to create conditions for employees to participate in production in the new normal.
Appreciating the province's anti-pandemic achievements, Mr. Tran Thanh Trong - Chairman of Binh Duong Electromechanical Association proposed solutions to identify labor needs and organize to welcome workers back to Binh Duong to work.

Along with solutions to remove financial difficulties for enterprises, build a loan support program with preferential interest rates for affected subjects, especially small and medium enterprises, cooperatives, freelance workers, poor households, near-poor households, Binh Duong will continue to support enterprises to solve labor difficulties, identify recruitment needs to organize to welcome workers back to Binh Duong to work. In addition, the province continues to reform and simplify administrative procedures in order to handle enterprise documents and procedures in the shortest time; provide specific enterprise instructions on testing. At the same time, effectively implementing the support packages of the Central Government.
