Receiving and working with the Delegation were Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thao - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Vo Van Minh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. The meeting was online to 09 bridge points of districts, towns and cities.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam emphasized: "The Northern localities of Binh Duong province must focus on quelling the pandemic soon, forming a true "green zone" to jointly support the Southern localities of the province in combination with the Ho Chi Minh City to form a safety ring road".

The Northern localities of the province (Phu Giao, Dau Tieng, Bac Tan Uyen, Bau Bang) perform well and quickly in taking samples for testing, quickly controlling the pandemic, then the force taking samples for testing from these localities will provide aid to the Southern localities where the number of cases is high.

For Southern localities (Di An City, Thuan An City, Thu Dau Mot City, etc.), especially those with many cases, it must perform rapid testing in combination with PCR testing, have plans to classify and synchronize from sampling stage, returning test results and prepare the receiving place depending on the condition of the disease and travel. If positive, immediately transferring to the area of collection, treatment and health monitoring.

Quickly reporting at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh said that currently, the Health branch is organizing to take samples for a large-scale screening test for Covid-19 by the method of rapid antigen test combined with Realtime-PCR for 1.8 million people in Binh Duong province, in which, giving priority to deploy rapid testing in companies and manufactories and screening by pooled sampling method for people living in areas with high risk of Covid-19 outbreak in the community such as: workers in boarding houses, people living around the boarding houses, traders in markets or shops around the boarding houses, bus station areas with a high frequency of daily gatherings, etc.

Therefore, it is forecasted that in the next 2 weeks, more new cases of Covid-19 will be detected, bringing the total number of cases to about 10,000 people. The province has established 600 sampling teams to ensure rapid sampling and returning results within 24 hours. The capacity of concentrated quarantine increases to 20,000 beds and can be expanded to 30,000 beds when needed. Regarding the treatment capacity, it can be met if the maximum capacity of hospital beds continues to be increased. However, the capacity of medical supplies and biological products is currently lacking. The Department of Health has actively trained and provided rapid antigen testing to all medical examination and treatment facilities in the province to conduct tests for patients with symptoms or epidemiological factors to detect F0 cases in the community early. At the same time, coordinating with the Industrial Zones Authority to guide and train enterprises in industrial parks to conduct rapid tests for workers as regulated by the Ministry of Health.  

The whole province of Binh Duong currently has 12 RT-PCR machines, with the capacity to test 8,000 individual samples/day (equivalent to 80,000 pooled samples of 10/day); is implementing socialization of testing to improve capacity to over 10,000 - 30,000 individual samples/day (equivalent to 100,000 - 300,000 people if samples are pooled); has established 600 mobile sampling teams (equivalent to 600 sampling tables, each table can take 300 samples/day, maximum 176,000 samples/day) and mobilized the entire force of medical staff, including private medical facilities, medical training schools, and students from medical schools supported by the Ministry of Health to ensure rapid sampling with focus and key points to localize and quickly quell the pandemic.
