In 2020, the entire branch of CST has focused on implementing "dual-task" to both prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic, and also perform socio-economic development in accordance with the direction of the Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of CST. The work of State management has been implemented synchronously in each field, in which advised the Provincial People's Committee to develop and issue many important documents, especially documents directing and guiding the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control in a timely and effective manner.
Visual propagation, activities of culture, arts and sports to celebrate the holidays, great anniversaries of the country and political events of the province and localities are organized with many diverse and rich content and forms. Especially, the propaganda before, during and after the Party Congress at all levels is carefully organized, contributing to highlight the outstanding achievements of the province in the 2015-2020 tenure. Activities to celebrate the 11th Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 tenure have many innovations in ideological content and artistic quality. The "All people unite in building the cultural life" movement and family affairs are widely deployed. The institutions of culture, sports and monuments from the provincial to grassroots levels continue to be paid attention to invest in building, repairing, and embellishing, etc.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Loc Ha praised the efforts of the entire branch in 2020; at the same time, noted the CST branch with some contents in 2021, such as: Urgently completing projects, programs and plans related to the development of the branch's non-business fields by 2025, with an orientation to 2030. At the same time, continuing to build the organizational apparatus in a streamlined direction, operating effectively and efficiently; coordinating to review and report on a comprehensive assessment of the investment in the construction, exploitation and use of cultural and sport institutions in the locality; proactively coordinating with departments, branches and localities to effectively implement, improve regional connectivity in tourism development. In addition, strengthening coordination mechanisms in supervision, inspection and handling of violations for activities affecting security and order, causing frustration in public opinion; promptly handling violations in commercial advertising to ensure urban beauty and order. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee stressed that 2021 is the year when many major political events of the country will take place, especially the 13th National Congress of the Party, the election of the National Assembly and the People's Council in the 2021-2026 tenure, suggesting the Department of CST to focus on well implementing the tasks right from the beginning of the year; first of all, it is necessary to well organize activities to celebrate the Party - celebrate Spring of Tan Suu 2021 in a happy, healthy, thrifty and efficient spirit.

On this occasion, the Ministry of CST awarded the Emulation Flag to the Division of Culture and Information of Thuan An City; awarded Certificates of Merit to 05 collectives and 02 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the construction and organization of CST activities in 2020. The Provincial People's Committee awarded the Emulation Flag to the Provincial Library for its outstanding achievements, leading the emulation block under the Department of CST in 2020; and awarded Certificates of Merit to 01 team and 05 individuals for their outstanding achievements of work in 2 consecutive years.
