Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Tran Thanh Liem reported Deputy Prime Minister the socio-economic situation. In 2018, Binh Duong made active progress on different fields. People's living standards were improved. Social order and security was maintained. 27 over 29 key socio-economic targets were reached and exceeded.

Last year, Binh Duong successfully held national and international events, including: the 20th anniversary of WTA, Asian Forum Horasis 2018, Military Practice and Defense. Binh Duong was also elected one of the 21 countries with strategies to develop smart city by ICF and officially admitted member of ICF and WTA.
During 2019 Lunar New Year, Binh Duong organized different activities to celebrate the establishment of Party and to welcome New Year. Many activities were organized to take care of people's lives on Tet Holidays.
At the working session, suggestions were proposed to Government and Ministry of Transport. Accordingly, Binh Duong expected functional sectors have much attention to developing the link of Southern Key Economic Area, boosting the railway projects, accomplishing the upgrading of Binh Loi bridge, dredging Dong Nai river…Binh Duong leaders also urged Government to allocate investment for key transportation projects such as Bach Dang bridge 2, Thu Thiem – Dat Cuoc road. The suggestion of Minh Long 1 Company to have tax priority was also mentioned at the session.
Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue concluded the working session
Concluding the working session, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue highly evaluated and congratulated Binh Duong for its achievements in socio-economic development last year. He expected that Binh Duong would continue to contribute ideas to Government improve the constitutional policies on FDI attraction, infrastructure development, policies for urban and dynamic economic zone development, new rural development. He said Binh Duong would continue its administrative reform, implement policies for the beneficiaries, raising the quality of health insurance and rural development. In terms of proposals by the province, he urged functional sectors and organizations to solve problems for projects and have suitable plans for the suggestion of Minh Long 1 about tax priority.
