Speaking at the meeting, Nguyen Thanh Liem, Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial Fatherland Front's Committee highly appreciated valuable contributions of oversea Vietnamese to homeland while expecting them to continue bringing into full play the national traditions so as to build strong communities, to preserve the national characteristics, to boost the cooperation and to widespread the image of Binh Duong and Viet Nam to the world.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee briefed oversea Vietnamese socio-economic situation of Binh Duong. He stressed that last year's achievements are greatly attributed to contributions of oversea Vietnamese. He wished them and their families good health, happiness and success while expecting that oversea Vietnamese enjoyed New Year holiday in Binh Duong.
Oversea Vietnamese expressed their pleasure on the socio-economic development of Binh Duong and would continue the solidarity spirit and have meaningful activities for their homeland.

Binh Duong has now over 10,000 expatriates living in countries and territories. 123 projects of oversea Vietnamese with the capital of over VND 2,100 billion and USD 94 million are running in Binh Duong. These projects mainly focus on transportation, food processing, mechanics, fine-art and wood production, real estate….More than 5,000 turns of oversea Vietnamese immigrated yearly. In 2018, VND 4,000 billion in overseas remittances was made, increasing 38% against 2017.
