The leaders of Binh Duong province were Tran Van Nam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial NA Delegation; Tran Thanh Liem, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee together with the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee and leaders of departments.
During the 3-day work, the conference took place with a series of events such as the 11th Session of the WTA General Assembly, the High-tech Fair, the WTA Mayors' Forum, University Presidents' Forum, Global Innovation Forum….Delegates discussed, shared their experiences on developing and managing the technopolis sustainably. Through series of events of WTA Binh Duong 2018, government and people of Binh Duong perceived different viewpoints about building and developing a smart city, improved management capability that helps successfully carry out the plan "building Binh Duong into a smart city".

Addressing the closing ceremony, Liem thanked leaders of WTA, UNESCO, Daejeon city, lecturers, researchers, heads of institutes, members of LOC for their kind supports and contribution to the final success of the event. As a member of the WTA, the Binh Duong Provincial authority is committed to participating activities of cooperation and exchange with other technopolis of the world for common prosperity and the wellbeing of the people. He also proclaimed the joint statement of WTA.
