At the meeting, Mr. Huynh Thanh Long said, friendship relations between Binh Duong province and Yamaguchi Prefecture was established on December 25th 2014, up to now, two localities have had practical cooperative activities in the field of education and tourism development. In addition, the two sides regularly organize trade promotion and investment delegations to explore opportunities for cooperation and investment. Japan currently has 289 projects with total investment capital of nearly US$ 5 billion, ranking 2nd among 63 countries and territories investing in Binh Duong province. He added, after a business trip of Binh Duong provincial People's Council delegation to Yamaguchi in March 2018, there are Japanese enterprises looking to invest in Binh Duong on building nursing homes; this is the lack of models in Binh Duong as well as in developed localities of Vietnam. Therefore, the province is ready to create conditions for businesses to promote investment in Binh Duong. He hoped to further improve friendly relation between the two elected bodies in particular and between the two localities in general.
