PORTAL - According to the results at the Conference to announce the Vietnam Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI) 2021 taking place on the morning of May 10 in Hanoi, Binh Duong reached 47,178/80 points, ranking 2nd out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide.
This is a spectacular breakthrough of the province when rising from the lowest group in 2020 to the top of the country in terms of PAPI in 2021.
The published results show that, out of 08 contents, Binh Duong has 07 items in the highest score group, 01 content in the high average score group. Specifically, public service delivery, Binh Duong reached 8,073/10 points; control of corruption in the public sector reached 8,146/10 points; public administrative procedures reached 7,631/10 points; transparency in local decision-making reached 6,251/10 points, etc.
Thua Thien-Hue province leads the PAPI 2021 with 48,059/80 points.

The PAPI is a tool for citizens to participate in monitoring the effectiveness of the government in policy implementation at the grassroots level. PAPI measures 08 content indicators: Participation at local levels; transparency in local decision-making; vertical accountability; control of corruption in the public sector; public administrative procedures, public service delivery; environmental governance and E-governance.
The PAPI 2021 reflects the assessment of the effectiveness of governance, state management and public service delivery by all levels of government of 15,833 people randomly selected from the Vietnamese population aged 18 and over with diverse demographics. Through the assessment criteria, identifying priority issues to be solved in the immediate and medium term, assigning specific tasks to each relevant level and branch in order to innovate the way of serving the people.
