PORTAL - On the afternoon of September 10, at the Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province in collaboration with the Southern Investment Promotion Center, the Ministry of Planning and Investment held a Dialogue on Investment promotion between Indian enterprises and Authorities in South Vietnam.
Attending at Binh Duong bridge point were Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi - Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City; Ms. Tran Thi Hai Yen - Director of the Southern Investment Promotion Center; Mr. Le Phu Hoa – Director of Department of Foreign Affairs; leaders' representatives of provincial departments, committees, branches, and Indian enterprises investing in Binh Duong.

Overview of the Dialogue
Speaking at the dialogue, Mr. Do Nhat Hoang - Director of Foreign Investment Department, Ministry of Planning and Investment said that the purpose of the dialogue is to strengthen Indian and Vietnamese investment promotion activities; improve the efficiency of investment promotion programs in the South Vietnam as well as help provinces grasp the trend of investment needs of Indian enterprises. At the same time, introducing the investment environment to Indian enterprises and investors at home and abroad, including orientation of priority industries calling for investment, investment attraction areas, preferential policies and investment support.
Providing information on the results of Binh Duong province's socio-economic development and orientation in the coming time, Mr. Le Phu Hoa - Director of Binh Duong Department of Foreign Affairs said that despite facing many difficulties and challenges due to the Covid-19 situation, the province's socio-economic situation still achieved some positive results, with many positive and encouraging bright spots in the context of both pandemic prevention and control and economic recovery and development. Binh Duong is currently ranked 2nd in the country in terms of attracting foreign investment capital, just behind Ho Chi Minh City, with 4,016 projects and a total registered capital of more than 37 billion USD from 65 countries and territories. In which, India is currently investing in 10 projects with a total investment capital of more than 116 million USD.
The representative of Becamex IDC also introduced the construction schedule of the Science and Technology Industrial Park and the World Trade Center Binh Duong New City. At the same time, providing brief information on the construction of transport infrastructure connecting the region, the system of logistics, training of high-quality labor force and investment incentive policies of Vietnam. In the development strategy, Binh Duong province will continue to implement the "Binh Duong Innovation Region" project with the planning of Science and Technology Industrial Park, innovative startup ecosystem, promoting the proportion of services, especially e-commerce, international commerce with the typical project being the World Trade Center Binh Duong New City.

With the strength of Indian enterprises, Binh Duong also welcomes Indian investors to invest in the province in the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, etc.
