PORTAL - According to the report of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Disease Prevention and Control, from 17:00 on July 9 to 17:00 on July 10, 2021, Binh Duong recorded 179 new cases of Covid-19 (the Ministry of Health announced 140 cases). This is the highest number of cases recorded in a day since the 4th outbreak.
Out of 179 new cases, 28 were detected at medical facilities, 69 were detected in concentrated isolation areas, 78 were detected in the blockade area, and 04 were detected in the community. Cases related to Premier Global Vietnam Company (78 cases); Company Wanek 2 (28 cases); Hansol Vina Company (06 cases); Houseware Company (03 cases); outbreak in Chanh Nghia ward, Thu Dau Mot city (14 cases); related to Binh Dien market (19 cases); Thu Duc wholesale market, Ho Chi Minh City (14 cases) and 07 other cases of infection from Ho Chi Minh City; through medical declaration (08 cases) and 02 cases of unknown source of infection.
The cases have residence addresses in Thuan An city (Binh Hoa, Lai Thieu, Binh Nham, Vinh Phu, Thuan Giao, Binh Chuan wards); Di An City (Tan Binh, Di An, Tan Dong Hiep, An Binh, Dong Hoa wards); Thu Dau Mot City (Phu Cuong, Chanh Nghia, Hoa Phu wards); Bau Bang district (Tru Van Tho commune, Lai Uyen town); Ben Cat Town (My Phuoc Ward, Hoa Loi); Tan Uyen Town (Uyen Hung, Tan Phuoc Khanh, Tan Vinh Hiep, Khanh Binh, Phu Chanh wards); Dau Tieng burgh, Dau Tieng district; Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City.

Information about the case of Covid-19 who died on July 9, 2021: Patient N.N.G, 48 years old, owner of a coffee shop in Dinh Hoa ward, Thu Dau Mot city. The patient was in contact with case F0 in Hiep An ward, Thu Dau Mot city and has been taken to concentrated isolation since June 20, 2021. On July 1, 2021, he tested positive for SARS-CoV-2; was transferred to the Medical Center of Ben Cat Town for further isolation and treatment with a history of hypertension. At 20:30 on July 8, 2021, the patient progressed badly and was transferred to Binh Duong Provincial General Hospital. At 2:45 p.m. on July 9, 2021, the patient died with the following diagnosis: Monitoring for cerebrovascular accident, hypertension and severe pneumonia caused by SARS-CoV-2 (diagnosed by PCR).
