PORTAL – 2021 is the 2nd year of the High School Graduation Exam taking place in the context of the complicated development of the Covid-19 pandemic. Facing that situation, Binh Duong has urgently and focused on preparing conditions to ensure the exam takes place safely and effectively.
Absolutely being safe from the pandemic
The 2021 High school graduation exam will take place nationwide on July 07 and 08, 2021. Up to this point, Binh Duong has carefully prepared in all aspects, readying flexible plans to cope with the developments of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phong - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training (ET) of Binh Duong province said that since the 4th outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic and there is an increasing trend in cases, to organize the exam in accordance with regulations and regulations, the Department has directed schools and exam sites to increase propaganda to create consensus among parents and students on pandemic prevention and control; at the same time, grasp thoroughly the candidates and teachers who supervise the exam and mark the exam to strictly follow the regulations on pandemic prevention and control; limit contact, travel to unnecessary places.
In addition, the Department of Education and Training has issued a specific plan to coordinate with the local Health branch and relevant units to have a plan to ensure the safety of candidates participating in the exam. As a rule, the candidates are F0, F1, F2; candidates in the area that are implementing the lockdown and social distancing for pandemic prevention and control at the request of the Steering Committee for Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control cannot take the exam on July 07 and 08, 2021, will participate in the 2nd round of the 2021 National High School Examination under the guidance of the Ministry of ET.

As planned, the 2021 High school graduation exam of Binh Duong province will be held at 25 exam sites with a total of 13,611 candidates registered for the exam. In which, 19 exam sites are located at high schools in districts, towns and cities; 05 exam sites are located at secondary schools and 01 exam site is located at the Center of Vocational Education - Continuing Education of Dau Tieng district.
However, before the complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic in Tan Uyen Town, in order to ensure the interests of candidates taking the 2021 High school graduation exam, the Department of ET has decided to transfer 449 candidates from Tan Phuoc Khanh High School (Tan Uyen Town) to Chanh Nghia Secondary School (Thu Dau Mot City). In addition, the Department of ET also calculated and established more backup exam sites at Nguyen Khuyen Secondary School - High School (Thu Dau Mot City), Nguyen Van Tiet Secondary School (Thuan An City) and Tan Dong Hiep Secondary School (Di An City) to prepare for unexpected pandemic situations.
The work of ensuring the pandemic prevention and control at the exam sites is more and more concerned by the ET branch. Continuously in the past weeks, leaders of the Department of ET have checked the preparation work at the exam sites. Thereby, directing the exam sites to organize environmental sanitation of exam rooms, corridors, school grounds, and toilets to ensure safety and cleanliness; spray disinfectants at exam sites before the exam day.
At the same time, directing the Heads of exam sites to develop plans and guide candidates to divide the gate to pick up and take them to groups of exam rooms; divide into lines and rows to measure body temperature by group of exam rooms; arrange hand wash basins, sanitizers and aske candidates to disinfect their hands frequently; assign members to guide candidates to the exam room; monitor the health of each official, employee and candidate before entering the exam site.
The exam sites arrange a maximum of 24 candidates per room, arrange seats to ensure the distancing; the exam rooms must be ventilated without using air conditioning; arrange medical staff on duty and prepare a backup exam room to handle cases with symptoms. At the same time, guiding parents to drop off and pick up candidates to perform 5K; not congregate in front of the gate and the area around the exam sites.
In particular, on July 05, the ET branch coordinated with the Health branch to deploy a quick test of Covid-19 for about 15,000 candidates and exam officials in 09 districts, towns and cities in the province, through which will screen and assess the safety level of candidates and exam officials participating in the 2021 High School Graduation Exam.

Focusing on exam quality
Speaking to direct at the meeting of the Steering Committee to organize the 2021 National High School Examination in Binh Duong province, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the organization of this year's exam needs to ensure two main goals: enhancing the effectiveness of the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control and not affecting the exam quality. To achieve the set objectives, the ET branch has actively developed a specific and detailed plan for the Exam, and at the same time closely coordinated with other committees, branches and localities; prepared personnel, technical facilities, data files, Board of printing and copying exam questions, Board of exam supervision, etc. All stages are implemented promptly, seriously, honestly and in accordance with regulations.
In addition to working closely with departments, branches and localities to prepare all plans for the exam to take place in absolute safety and seriousness, creating the best conditions for candidates to have a comfortable mind to enter the exam, the Department of ET also urgently develops a specific plan of activities to avoid passive situations, strictly comply with requirements and regulations, but flexibly according to the actual situation in the locality to ensure high quality exam results, in which paying special attention to exam review for candidates.
The Department has actively directed and supervised schools to develop topics of exam review for grade 12 right from the beginning of the school year; trained in teaching, making exam questions and implementing review topics developed for teachers of grade 12. At the same time, focusing on analyzing reference exam questions and building a set of exam questions to develop and provide quality learning materials and test questions for schools as well as tests, assessments and mock exams to classify students according to their ability levels to have a teaching plan suitable for students.
Binh An High School (Di An City) organizes exam review for students
For schools located in areas where there have been no Covid-19 pandemic or related cases, the School Board of Directors has organized exam review for candidates directly at the school. Or some private and boarding schools in Thu Dau Mot city have arranged for students to stay and review at school; limiting travel, outside contact, preventing pandemic transmission.
Particularly for schools located in areas where the Covid-19 pandemic is occurring or under quarantine or lockdown, the School Board of Directors has continuously changed the form of review and applied online learning to avoid affecting teaching and learning activities as well as ensuring pandemic safety. Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhuan - Vice Principal of Tan Phuoc Khanh High School shared: "Because the school is located in the hot spot of the Covid-19 pandemic, during the review process, in addition to the F1 students who had to undergo concentrated quarantine, the school encouraged all remaining students to rest assured to review at home by online form. Although learning online, teachers also review according to students' abilities, helping students achieve the best exam results."
With careful preparation in all aspects, along with flexible solutions, ready in all situations of the Covid-19 pandemic, Binh Duong believes that it will successfully organize the 2021 High School Graduation Exam.
