Speaking to open the meeting, Mr. Vo Van Minh emphasized that the 9^th Provincial People's Council has achieved important results, well performed its functions of representation, supervision, and timely settlement of important local issues, contributing to the great and quite comprehensive achievements of Binh Duong province in the past tenure. The success of the 9^th Provincial People's Council is a premise for the 10^th Provincial People's Council, 2021-2026 tenure, to continue to innovate, improve quality, improve effectiveness, efficiency, and deserve the trust of voters and the people in the province.

Entering a new phase, besides the basic advantages and achievements achieved, Binh Duong province is also facing many difficulties and challenges. In the first months of 2021, in the context of the complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic in the world and in the country, posing many challenges to the construction and development of the province in the new situation, the whole political system needs to make efforts. That poses heavy tasks and urgent requirements to the 10^th Provincial People's Council, requiring each deputy of the Provincial People's Council to be aware of their responsibilities before voters and people, constantly cultivate ethics, improve professional capacity and bravery to actively, proactively and creatively perform tasks in accordance with the law, together with the whole political system to build Binh Duong both sustainably developing in the direction of a smart, civilized and modern city and constantly improving the material and spiritual life of the people, so that every citizen in Binh Duong can enjoy the best and fullest from the fruits of development.

With the trust and confidence of the voters in the province, he hoped that each deputy of the 10^th Provincial People's Council would closely associate with the people to effectively exercise the powers and responsibilities of the people's representative, contribute to together with the Provincial People's Council to successfully complete the tasks assigned by the people.

The first meeting of the 10^th Binh Duong Provincial People's Council, with very important contents, especially the election of key positions in the provincial government system, 2021 - 2026 tenure in order to meet the requirements of the management, administration and successful implementation of the objectives and tasks of socio-economic development and assurance of national defense and security set out by the Resolution of the 11^th Provincial Party Congress. Therefore, Mr. Vo Van Minh suggested the Provincial People's Council deputies to uphold the sense of responsibility before voters and the people, wisely choose the most deserving people to elect to hold important positions in the apparatus of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee, in order to contribute to building a socialist rule of law State of the people, by the people and for the people; building a clean and strong local government.

According to the program, at this Meeting, the deputies listened to the Provincial Election Committee report on the results of the election of deputies to the Provincial People's Council and report on the results of confirmation of the status of deputies to the 10^th Provincial People's Council, 2021-2026 tenure; the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front report on the opinions and recommendations of voters at the meeting with the candidates for the election of deputies to the Provincial People's Council. At the same time, considering and electing the positions of Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and Jurors of the Provincial People's Court; considering and approving the number of members, the composition structure of the Committees of the 10^th Provincial People's Council, 2021-2026 tenure, and the organization of regular meetings of the Provincial People's Council in 2021.
