Binh Duong is ready for plans to "intercept" Covid-19 in industrial parks and clusters

PORTAL - On the afternoon of June 11, right after the online meeting with the National Steering Committee (SC) for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, the Provincial SC for Covid-19 Prevention and Control held an online meeting with 09 districts, towns and cities.

Information at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Hong Chuong - Director of the Department of Health confirmed that, up to this point, both pandemic locations in the province are related to Indian variant, including: Binh Chuan Ward, Thuan An City and Phuc Dat Company (Di An City) were basically controlled. However, the outbreak at Phuc Dat Company has spread to the second cycle, and in the near future, new cases may appear in the community. Therefore, the Health branch proposed the Provincial SC to support the branch in tracing the risk subjects, further ensuring security and order in concentrated quarantine areas; strictly controlling people entering and leaving Binh Duong province from Ho Chi Minh City; requiring companies to make a list of workers, experts and managers who work every day in Binh Duong but have a residence address in Ho Chi Minh City for monitoring and management.

The Health branch identified that at any time, the Covid-19 pandemic can enter, suddenly, without warning, with unknown sources of infection, so localities must always be ready to deploy "intercept", specially protect the "stronghold" of industrial parks with many radical solutions: Resolutely closing companies and enterprises if safety is not ensured in pandemic prevention and control; implementing electronic health declaration for the entire population at factories, offices, supermarkets, means of transport; implementing periodic, extensive screening tests at high-risk places such as factories, industrial parks, bus stations, supermarkets, boarding houses, hotels, and religious establishments.

For companies and enterprises that need to vaccinate against Covid-19, the Department of Health proposed two plans. The 1st plan, the company commits to pay the cost of buying and injecting vaccine, making a list and sending it to the Department. After the Ministry of Health buys the vaccine and distributes it to Binh Duong, the company's workers will be vaccinated (in case the priority subjects under Resolution 21 have been fully vaccinated). The 2nd plan, companies can access and buy Covid-19 vaccine, the Health branch will support the preservation and injection stages of the company's workers.

Overview of the meeting

In the coming time, localities in the province will continue to well implement 6 golden rules in the Covid-19 prevention and control: Preventing, detecting, quarantining, localizing, thoroughly suppressing the pandemic and effectively treating, minimizing the mortality rate. In particular, the new phase strategy is encircling, localizing, preempting, intercepting, to strictly control the sources of infection, cut off the transmission chain, and cut off the sources of infection from outside. Assigning and coordinating according to the method "Police - tracing, Army – quarantine, Government - command, Health - implementation".

Speaking to direct at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha affirmed that in the complicated situation of the pandemic, units and localities need to strengthen supervision of people in pandemic areas in the spirit of not "blocking transport and banning trade". The Health branch needs to review medical equipment, improve testing capacity, quarantine treatment capacity; develop and complete the plan for safe vaccination, pandemic prevention and control; coordinate with departments and branches to calculate and build a sample plan for pandemic prevention and control according to each level in the enterprise. Particularly, the Department of Transport develops an appropriate transport plan. The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs needs to proactively develop social policies for 1.2 million workers in the event of an outbreak, etc.
