Sanctioning violations of regulations on pandemic prevention and control nearly 1.4 billion VND

As reported by the Department of Health, since the appearance of the 4^th outbreak until now, Binh Duong province has not recorded Covid-19 cases in the community. The Health branch has monitored and detected 231 high-risk cases of traveling to and from pandemic areas throughout the country, or having contact with F0. These cases are all quarantined and taken samples for testing; test results were negative.

On May 27, 2021, when the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City announced 1 case of Covid-19 in Ho Chi Minh City and there were 2 epidemiological landmarks related to Binh Duong province, the Health branch quickly identified 04 F1 cases in contact with this case, who were under centralized quarantine and taken samples for testing, the results were negative. In addition, through supervision, 08 people in Tan Phuoc Khanh ward, Tan Uyen town, who had contact with a positive case belonging to the Renaissance Mission Church were detected. Initial test results were negative. The Health Branch is continuing to investigate F2 cases.

Over the past time, the Provincial SC has organized inspection teams to check the pandemic prevention and control at companies and enterprises in Tan Uyen and Ben Cat town. The Provincial Industrial Zones Authority has established 03 inspection teams, so far, 1,010 enterprises have submitted Covid-19 safety self-assessment reports. Through inspection, most enterprises in the industrial park have well implemented regulations on pandemic prevention and control, established a SC and developed a specific plan. However, some enterprises have not yet implemented daily health declarations, have not updated the Covid-19 safety map; the cafeteria does not have partitions as prescribed.

Up to now, all concentrated quarantine locations in the province have been installed with cameras and connected to the general system of the Ministry of Health, serving the management and supervision of quarantined people.

Enterprise equips partitions at the dining table to prevent the pandemic

For vaccination, Mr. Nguyen Hong Chuong - Director of the Department of Health said that Binh Duong province was allocated 15,100 Covid-19 vaccine doses produced by Astra Zeneca. The Health branch organized vaccination for 18,085 people (16,354 people who injected the 1^st shot and 1,731 people who injected the 2^nd shot), 5,807 people (accounting for 32.1%) had normal reactions, no severe reactions after injection. In the coming time, Binh Duong province will continue to be allocated 19,000 Covid-19 vaccine doses by the Ministry of Health for the 3^rd phase. Strictly following the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, localities have organized many campaigns to remind and sanction individuals, production and business establishments that violate the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control. Specifically, sanctioning 06 karaoke establishments, 08 production and business establishments, and 731 cases of not wearing masks in public places with a total fine of nearly 1.4 billion VND.

Training on pandemic prevention and control scenarios for enterprises

In Vietnam, the 4^th outbreak of pandemic has a high number of cases, the pandemic occurs in industrial zones, clusters, and medical examination and treatment facilities with a rapid spread and difficult to control. In just the past 1 month (from April 27 to now), there have been 3,294 cases of infection in the community in 31 provinces and cities nationwide. Although Binh Duong has not recorded Covid-19 cases in the community since the 4^th outbreak, the risk of the pandemic entering and spreading is still very high with the new variant having a fast transmission cycle (1-2 days). Most of the districts in Ho Chi Minh City (adjacent to Binh Duong) have recorded cases, many people live and work traveling between Ho Chi Minh City - Binh Duong.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam - Chairman of Thuan An City People's Committee said that being an area adjacent to Ho Chi Minh City, with a large workforce, so the risk of cases in Thuan An is very high. Thuan An city currently has 4 concentrated medical quarantine areas and has prepared an quarantine plan at the Dormitory of Thuy Loi University in case the number of quarantined people increases. The city has also planned to implement screening test of 2,000 samples in high-risk areas, industrial parks, including 1,500 pooled samples, the rest to take samples for medical staff. From the fact, Mr. Tam said that community supervision is very important, Covid-19 Community Groups need to promote their full role, firmly grasp the area to strictly control related cases. At the same time, he proposed that the province should limit more activities with large gatherings of people.

According to Mr. Nguyen Hong Tuoi - Chairman of Tan Uyen Town People's Committee, the town has strengthened inspection of pandemic prevention and control at enterprises; fined 178 cases of not wearing masks in public places with an amount of nearly 300 million VND. He suggested that the province should have funds to support members of the Covid-19 Community Groups; raised the alert level for some service activities with large gatherings of people such as swimming pools, golf courses, etc

Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Mai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Women's Union suggested that it is necessary to manage drug trading activities at the pharmacy counters to grasp those who show symptoms of the pandemic.

Facing the complicated development of the pandemic, the Provincial SC continues to prepare a response plan when cases occur in large numbers; expand and establish more concentrated quarantine areas, assign the army to manage. Improving the capacity of taking samples, transporting samples for testing, mobilizing the entire health force, including the private system, which is well trained, guided and ready to mobilize at any time.
