The business survey was completed by the end of July 30th, 2021

​PORTAL – On the morning of May 25th, at Binh Duong Provincial Administration Center, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Truc - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for the 2021 Economic Census and Administrative Facilities Investigation chaired a meeting to listen to reports on the implementation of the economic census in the 1st phase of 2021 and preparations for the 2nd phase in the province.

​​The 2021 Economic Census was implemented in the form of online declaration for information collection, creating many advantages for businesses during the period of Covid-19 pandemic, specifically, helping businesses to limit travel and contact with many people, which contributed to effective pandemic prevention and control. According to the report, as of May 22nd, 2021, 18,227 out of 27,929 businesses (65.26%) declared and confirmed completion, in which, 11,523 businesses (41.26%) were verified to have completed the declaration by investigators.

As for the non-business units and associations, there were 850 non-business units and associations in the province at the time of the survey, Information collection period started from March 1st, 2021 to April 30th, 2021. At the end of the survey, the number of non-business units that completed declaration reached 100%. The districts, towns and cities completed the declaration within the prescribed time.

In order to provide initial information for the 2021 Economic Census and Administrative Facilities Investigation, the province determines the number of categories of surveyed unit in the area, then develops a plan to prepare and conduct investigation in accordance with reality; selects the samples for the in-depth information survey of some categories of surveyed unit in the 2nd phase.

In the coming time, the province shall implement extensive propaganda on the purpose and meaning of the Census to businesses, cooperatives, production and business establishments and people in the whole province; based on the plan, the province shall implement supervision and inspection of training sessions and fieldwork in the locality. From July 1st to July 30th, 2021, the province shall conduct information collection of individual non-agricultural production and business, forestry and fishery establishments and religious and belief organizations.

Overview of the meeting

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Truc asked the Provincial Statistics Office to remind and urge localities to be determined to well implement the proposed plan. At the same time, the Office should focus on trying to complete 100% of the business survey by July 30, 2021. The members of the Steering Committee should smoothly coordinate and set up specific timelines and tasks to unify activities and complete the given targets.
