PORTAL- In order that the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure is successful, ensures democracy, equality, lawfulness, safety, thrift, and is truly a festival of the whole people, and at the same time ensures the well compliance with the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic in the province, the Provincial People's Committee requires agencies and units to uphold the sense of responsibility and perform well a number of tasks.
Accordingly, the Department of Home Affairs - the standing agency of the Election Committee (EC) of the province conducts a review of all the works related to the election in order to carefully prepare, ensure the conditions of human resources, facilities, techniques and equipment to serve the election on May 23rd, 2021. Regularly coordinating with relevant agencies to update and summarize the election situation in the province; promptly reporting to the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Election Committee on the results of the election, timely resolution of difficulties, problems and situations arising in the process of organizing the election.
Actively coordinating with the Department of Health, People's Committees of districts, towns, cities and relevant agencies to organize the implementation of detailed and specific plans and scenarios for the election day; focusing on organizing training for those directly performing their duties at constituencies, polling stations, and concentrated isolation areas, especially in situations where social distancing is required due to the outbreak of the pandemic.
The Provincial Public Security and the Provincial Military Command shall develop and implement plan to enhance security, social order and safety before, during and after the election; strictly maintain the regime of command and combat readiness at all levels and coordinate and support localities in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic, contributing to ensuring a safe, lawful and successful election in the province.
The Department of Health regularly monitors, updates, evaluates and forecasts the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic in the province to promptly develop plans and measures to be ready to respond to situations arising in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic; coordinates with the Department of Home Affairs in guiding implementation of the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic at polling stations, especially in isolation areas; promptly handles arising situations related to health and prevention and control of pandemic during the election.
The Propaganda Committee of Provincial Party Committee and the Department of Information and Communications direct news and press agencies, Binh Duong Radio and Television Stations, Binh Duong Newspapers, and grassroots radio stations to strengthen information and propaganda with appropriate forms, means and frequencies, focusing on propaganda on the loudspeaker system of communes, wards and townships so that voters can clearly understand and fully exercise their rights and obligations on election day; coordinate with the Provincial Public of Security to monitor and control information security well; counter, prevent and promptly handle misinformation and false views in cyberspace about the election.
The People's Committees of districts, towns, cities and communes, wards and townships shall focus on directing the implementation of tasks related to election in the key period from now to the election day, especially controlling the situation and well implementing the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic in the area.
The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations shall coordinate in propagating and mobilizing officials, trade union members, members and people of all strata to actively exercise the rights and obligations of citizens in the election, and well implement measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic when voting.
