Binh Duong to celebrate Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day - Day for Returning to the Source Nov 23rd
​BEGIC - Morning Nov 23rd, a ceremony to celebrate Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day - Day for Returning to the Source (Nov 23rd) took place at Iron Triangle historic tunnels in Ben Cat town
  
Attendants of the ceremony were Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Permanent Member of Provincial People’s Council; heads of departments and branches, Ben Cat town, and more than 500 Youth Union members, students.
  
At the ceremony, Le Phan Thuan, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism, said the day was celebrated with the aim to educate on patriotism, national pride, and awareness of cultural heritage preservation among all people. This year’s Cultural Heritage Day comprised activities, like: enhancing research, organizing activities to promote the values of cultural heritage; innovating heritage presentation forms; evaluating operations and activities of museums and monuments; organizing activities to honor, introduce cultural heritage to the mass, visitors…

Currently, Binh Duong province has 12 national monuments, 40 provincial monuments. Museums in the province preserve about 2,000 artifacts. The province has also paid much attention to restoring monuments; checking intangible cultural heritage. In 2015, the province built up files on “Tan Khanh Ba Tra martial art”, project on “Preserving and promoting Southern don ca tai tu in the 2015-2020”, finished scientific research on “Binh Duong lacquer” submitted to Ministry of Culture - Sports and Tourism to be recognized as national intangible cultural heritage.
 
After the ceremony, leaders of departments, branches, and students visited Iron Triangle historic tunnels.
