Over US$622mln in FDI capital pours into province-based Ips
BEGIC - The Management Board of Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) said that province-VSIPs in 2014 absorbed additional US$622.6mln in FDI capital, up 86.3% compared to 2013 or 207.5% of the yearly plan.
 
Particularly, they attracted 21 new FDI projects with total registered capital of US$93.4mln and 35 extra-ones with US$529.2mln. A domestic enterprise was granted license with total investment capital of VND60bln.
 
Province-based VSIPs have so far lured 414 investment projects, including 393 FDI projects with total registered capital of nearly US$5.43bln and 21 domestic ones with total registered capital of VND3.894bln. There are now 360 enterprises operating at the local VSIPs. Their total revenue in 2014 was estimated at over US$5bln and they also paid US$65mln for State budget.
