Binh Duong: Building VSIP Tunnel to minimize the traffic jam
BEGIC - To reduce the traffic jam occurred in the rush hour at the crossroads of Binh Duong Avenue and the Vietnam – Singapore Industrial Park I (Thuan An town), Binh Duong Transport Management Board submitted the VSIP gate tunnel project in (Liberty Road) to the provincial People’s Committee.
Once in operation, the tunnel is going to facilitate the traffic at the crossroads: the orientation from Thu Dau Mot town to VSIP; from Liberty Road to Lai Thieu Ward (Thuan An town)…
The tunnel was designed under the model of concrete reinforcing steel drain box large of 6 meters and high of 2.5; the access road to be built in the tunnel by cement concrete; the collector in asphaltic concrete; the pavement in terazzo brick and automatic water pumping station installation.
Project chosen by Binh Duong leaders
According to Binh Duong People’s Committee Chairman Le Thanh Cung, the tunnel is the pilot piece in minimizing traffic jam in the VSIP area and the first project in Binh Duong province. Therefore, the tunnel should be efficacious, safe and especially ensuring the water sewerage and traffic lights systems for pedestrian.
