Screening “Planning development for rural industries of Binh Duong province to 2020”
BEGIC - The objectives of the plan is to increase production value of rural industries in the province in the period of 2011-2020 with the average growth rate of 5% - 6% annually, among them the period of 2011-2015 increases by 5.02% per year, period 2016-2020 increases by 6.19% per year. Rural agricultural production value to 2015 estimated to achieve 6,224 billion VN dongs, to 2020 achieve 8,403...
Preserving and developing some traditional industries, focusing on: lacquer, furniture, sculpture, ceramics, weaving, etc. These are traditional industries with cultural identity of each location in particular and of Binh Duong in general, actively suppoting the tourism sector of the province.
Provincial traditional industries will be divided into three groups to plan and develop with its own identity: group with priority in development (household furniture, sculpture, lacquer, wooden shoes, mortar and cutting board), group with market-demand (traditional ceramics), group needed to be recovered (man-made rice paper, ceramic pig, incense and tooth pick).

Besides, planning and developing new industries that have not been regconized as traditional industries: making vermicelli, rice paper (by machines), pork bologna and spring roll, bamboo weaving, bonsai, etc.
