Tokyu Bus Corporation to Continue Investment in Binh Duong
BEGIC - In early September, at the provincial hall, under the authorization of the Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Le Phu Hoa, Director of provincial Foreign Affairs Department had a working session with leaders of Tokyu Bus Corporation and others join-venture companies who visited the administration center and inspected Binh Duong traffic system development status.
At the working session, Director Le Phu Hoa briefly informed local socio-economic development status in recent years. Japan currently tops the list of foreign investors in the province with 231 projects, total investment capital of US$ 4.9 billion in which the project of Tokyu Corporation occupies US$ 1.2 billion. The Tokyu bus project that is modern and eco-friendly, aimed at improving local public transportation system, is being implemented effectively in Binh Duong.
He wished to continue receiving assistance from Japanese Government with ODA projects as well as supports from the corporation in improving and complete the traffic infrastructure, linking Binh Duong with provinces in the Southern Key Economic Zone, making contribution to turn Binh Duong into a civilized and modern city.
Director General of Tokyu Bus Corporation Mr. Tetsuo Yamaguchi expressed his impression on the socio-economic development of Binh Duong, especially the construction of administration center. He added his corporation would transfer technology so that Becamex Tokyu could carry out the project effectively, bringing to the province a new and modern mean of public transportation, turning Binh Duong into a green, clean, civilized and modern city.
