Representatives of Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) works with provincial leaders
BEGIC - On April 22, at the provincial hall, Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Liem had a working session with Representatives of JICA, led by Mr. Fumihiko Okiura, JICA Vice Chief Representative in Viet Nam on the Project of Strengthening Water Management Capacity in Vietnamese Rivers’ Valley.
  
At the reception, Mr. Fumihiko Okiura introduced about the project. Its objective is to enhance and institutionalize policies of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, promoting inter-provincial cooperation mechanism as well as improving local agencies’ implementing capacity on water management on river’s valley. During the project’s deployment a team will be set up as a contact point. He hoped to receive cooperation, supports and facilitation from local government so that the project could be successful.
 
 
     
Chairman Liem thanked the information provided by JICA Vice Chief and said that the project is really necessary. Binh Duong leaders strongly support the project deployment. With the position of Environment Protection Committee of Dong Nai River’s Valley, Binh Duong would direct relevant departments and agencies as well as the Committee’s members to facilitate the project.
  
From now, two sides are in preparation for the project deployment.
