Delegation of Akita province (Japan) works with Binh Duong leader
BEGIC - On August 1, at the provincial People’s Committee office (level 16, administration center), Mr. Le Thanh Cung, Chairman of Binh Duong province People’s Committee had a working session on investment opportunities in Binh Duong province with Akita province’s delegation, led by Mr. Michitaka Iwasawa, Deputy Governor.
     
 
  
At the meeting, Mr. Le Thanh Cung briefly informed the provincial socioeconomic development achievements in the first half of 2014. Specifically the province had a rapid and stable development, achieving the targets for instance the provincial GDP rose by 9.5% compared to the same period, FDI attraction reached US$ 1 billion.
 
Binh Duong province has attracted FDI from more than 39 countries and territories in which Japan tops the list with 220 projects, total capital of more than US$ 4.6 billion. Following the development orientation, Binh Duong province is currently calling for investment on high-tech industries that are eco-friendly while creating favorable for investors such as infrastructure and tax incentive policies.
 
On this occasion, Chairman Cung expressed his sincere thanks to Japanese Government for using ODA fund to support environment projects. In the future he believed the relations between Vietnam and Japan would be stronger and more solid. Mr. Le Thanh Cung expressed his hope that Akita investors decide to invest in Binh Duong province.
  
On behalf of the delegation, Deputy Governer Michitaka Iwasawa sincerely thanked leaders of Binh Duong province for their warm welcome. He showed his impression on the rapid development of Vietnam, especially Binh Duong province which has obtained many socioeconomic achievements. After this working trip, the delegation promised to give investment information of Vietnam to Akita businesses, especially the potentials Binh Duong province.
