Vice Chairman Tran Van Nam works with Leaders of E.C.I Elastic
BEGIC - On July 10, at the provincial People’s Committee (level 16, administration center), Mr. Tran Van Nam, Deputy Chairman of Binh Duong People’s Committee had a working session with Mr. Tommy Chang- Director of E.C.I Elastic on solid waste treatment industrial park project- cemetery park project.
  
At the working session, the company gave a brief introduction on the solid waste treatment industrial park project and cemetery park project. The purpose of the industrial park is to collect waste, especially industrial waste and old used cars to recycle into plastic, garment products and fertilizer, supplying for domestic factories as well as export. The industrial park needs 300 hectares of area, waste treatment capacity: 2,500 tons/day; industrial waste treatment capacity: 5,000 tons/day, old used cars: 30,000 tons/year, total infrastructure investment and ground clearing of more than US$ 32 million, Japanese and Taiwanese equipment, and more than 500,000 workers. The cemetery park project consists of the following areas: burial area, grave and bone-ash area, service area and park. Total area of approximately 100 hectares.
 
Mr. Tran Van Nam, Deputy Chairman of Binh Duong Province People’s Committee appreciated the above-mentioned projects. He added that the provincial leaders currently pay close attention to waste treatment, especially solid and hazardous waste. Mr. Nam demanded the company to propose and submit their projects to the People Committee for consideration.
   
On cemetery park, Mr. Nam said that currently in Vietnam there has not been any foreign investor as well as investment law in this field. Besides there are differences in rites and culture therefore the procedure must follow the custom. He promised to propose this project to the Central Government for consideration.
