He said that Viet Nam and Cuba officially established diplomatic relations in 1960. With a rich tradition of more than 60 years, the cooperative relationship between the two countries is constantly being strengthened and developed strongly in all fields. The two provinces of Binh Duong and Artemisa signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on establishing cooperative relations and twinning in August 2023, contributing to promoting the good cooperative relationship between Viet Nam and Cuba.
The Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed that Binh Duong province wishes to strengthen further cooperation in fields such as the economy, culture, health, education, science-technology, trade promotion, investment cooperation, etc., contributing to the prosperous socio-economic development of the two localities.

Speaking at the meeting, the Governor of Artemisa province affirmed that Artemisa province is always interested in implementing the MOU to develop friendly and cooperative relations between the two localities closely. The Governor is interested in implementing cooperation in the field of Health, proposing to consider cooperation in mineral exploitation and tourism development, connecting enterprises, livestock, etc.
The two sides agreed to continue to have specialized meetings to promote cooperation in the field of health between the two localities.

Within the framework of visiting and working activities in Artemisa province, the delegation was welcomed by Cuban children and presented paintings expressing the solidarity between Cuba and Viet Nam to children of Binh Duong province. The delegation planted souvenir trees and offered flowers to commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Cuba's independence.
