Bach Dang commune, Tan Uyen City is unique because it is an island located in the middle of a river but possesses the advantage of the land. Favored by nature, Bach Dang citizens cultivated and planted traditional citrus trees. Especially, they have conversed varieties of grapefruits such as Smooth-skinned grapefruit, Grapefruit with orange leaves, "Thanh Tra" grapefruit, and Guava grapefruit, planted other new varieties, and processed new products from grapefruit. In 2011, Bach Dang grapefruit was recognized as the "Bach Dang Grapefruit Collective Brand".

The 3rd Bach Dang Grapefruit Fragrance Festival 2024 was to introduce the Bach Dang Grapefruit brand and to honor typical growing grapefruit households of Tan Uyen city. This was the change to promote and introduce the culture, specialty, and people of Tan Uyen for inside and outside tourism of the province.
This year, the festival was longer than in other past years. It lasted 4 days from January 25 to January 28, 2024. The scale of the festival was larger, with 59 display stands and cuisine stalls from districts, towns, and cities inside and outside of the province, and businesses in the city. The display products for sale at the festival were all unique specialties with their own brands of localities and units.

The Secretary asked departments and branches to find solutions and support farmers with grapefruit export.
After visiting the stands, discussing with scientists and growing grapefruit households, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee wanted the farmers to continue researching, keeping, and preserving current unique varieties of grapefruit and breeding rare varieties of grapefruit to diversify more grapefruit specialty. Especially, it is necessary to focus on strengthening the application of high-technology, VietGAP, GlobalGAP, seeking the origin, etc. The Secretary requested the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of Industry and Trade to cooperate well in implementing support policies to preserve and develop the garden of specialty fruit. They were asked to guide farmers on production processes, trade promotion, market organization, etc. to promote grapefruit export to the large consuming markets in the world and help farmers develop durable and steady production.
