Provincial leaders surveyed the progress of the Ring Road 3 and upgrading and expanding National Highway 13 projects

PORTAL – On the morning of January 19, Mr. Vo Van Minh – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) inspected and surveyed the construction progress of the Ring Road 3 project passing through Binh Duong province.

​​​​Accompanying him were Mr. Nguyen Van Loc - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; leaders of departments, branches, and Thuan An City.

At the survey, the leader of the Transportation Works Construction Investment Project Management Authority said that the construction bidding packages for the Ring Road 3 construction project through Binh Duong province have been implemented on schedule. To date, the disbursement of project site clearance compensation has reached nearly 90%. However, there are still some households who have not handed over the land site, so the Authority hopes Thuan An City to speed up the progress of site clearance and handover of the land site to the construction unit implementing the project.

Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project, the section through Binh Duong province, has a starting point at Tan Van intersection and an ending point at Binh Goi bridge with a total route length of about 26.6 km, including two projects, i.e., Project Component 5 (construction) and Project Component 6 (compensation, support, and resettlement).

The total project investment is 19,280 billion VND. The total land area of the project is about 129.32 hectares, with about 1,496 cases of people affected.

 

The Chairman of the PPC directed the People's Committee of Thuan An City and the investors to coordinate closely in implementing the Ring Road 3 project.

The provincial leadership delegation also came to survey the progress of the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 13. Reporting on the progress of compensation and site clearance for the project, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam - Chairman of the Thuan An City People's Committee said that the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 13 has a total length of 12.7km including 3 sections. The section from Le Hong Phong Street (Thu Dau Mot City) towards Viet Nam - Singapore Industrial Park 1 (VSIP 1) (Tu Do intersection) is 4.9km long, and site clearance work has basically been completed; the section from VSIP 1 to Ong Bo Bridge (2.9km long) has about 80% of the site handed over; and the section from Ong Bo bridge to Vinh Phu is 4.9km long, about 50% of the site has been handed over. Currently, the People's Committee of Thuan An City has been approving payments for the remaining cases and, for approved cases, mobilizing people to receive money and hand over the premises in parallel with resettlement arrangements for people.

Through surveying key projects, Chairman of the PPC Vo Van Minh appreciated investors and construction units for their efforts to ensure project progress. He requested the People's Committee of Thuan An City to speed up the progress of site clearance and quickly pay compensation for affected cases. The Transportation Works Construction Investment Project Management Authority and construction contractors will continue to promote recent results, effectively deploying construction packages for the Ring Road 3 project.

Also at the survey, Chairman of the PPC Vo Van Minh presented a gift to Mr. Nguyen Van Huu's household (Hoa Lan 2 neighborhood, Thuan Giao ward, Thuan An city) and thanked the people for their consensus and support in handing over the site to implement the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 13.
