According to the report, in 2023, Binh Duong actively implemented the tasks set out for the year and achieved outstanding results. Specifically, it promoted cooperation in high-quality human resource training programs and continued to form and operate startup support zones, laboratories, and incubation centers such as fablabs, lab 4.0, techlabs, biotechnology fablabs, and application development institutes. In particular, in 2023, the Viet Nam - Singapore Innovation Center was established and put into operation to strongly develop the innovation ecosystem in Binh Duong.
The province also piloted traffic penalty and social order solutions in Thu Dau Mot city through cameras. In 2023, Thu Dau Mot City established and put into operation the first Intelligent Operation Center (IOC) at the district level.

Districts, towns, and cities organized campaigns to implement non-cash payments (Dau Tieng, Bau Bang, Ben Cat, Thu Dau Mot, Thuan An, Di An, Tan Uyen, Phu Giao, etc.) with models of non-cash payment roads, markets, and commercial centers.
Binh Duong supported enterprises to innovate, transform business models, and strengthen 4.0 technology. It deployed Smart Village and high-tech agriculture in An Thai commune (Phu Giao district) in the direction of combining eco-tourism with high-tech agriculture, taking enterprises as the center. This project is expected to be tested in the first quarter of 2024.
The province also advised on developing a draft plan to attract investors in high technology, microchip technology, and semiconductors.
In particular, Binh Duong Smart City - Innovation Region has been honored by the World Intelligent Forum (ICF) as the Community with a typical smart development strategy of 2023 - TOP 1 ICF after 3 consecutive years achieved the title of TOP 7 ICF.
In 2024, Binh Duong will continue to implement smart urban programs and projects with specific results according to priority areas: Environmental resources; Medical; Education; Housing - urban; Labor and employment; Security and traffic; Non-cash payment; Promoting the Provincial Intelligent Operation Center (IOC) and developing IOC at district and field levels. It will also implement foundational projects, focusing on innovation, attracting high technology, building a new industrial ecosystem, moving towards a green economy, digital economy, and transformation 4.0. Moreover, it will promote the international network of smart cities; and build a Smart City communication plan in the new period, especially the ICF TOP 1 communication plan, which is one of the key points to enhance Binh Duong's international brand, attracting investment and high-tech workforces to the province.
