​Attending were Mr. Vo Van Minh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC); Mr. Mai Hung Dung - Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the PPC; Dr. Frank-Jürgen Richter – Chairman of Horasis.

2023 is a year with important milestones commemorating the establishment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and many countries in Asia such as Malaysia (March 30, 1973), Singapore (August 01, 1973), Japan (September 21, 1973), Indonesia (December 30, 1955), etc. In order to contribute to celebrating the relationship, combined with widely promoting the image and brand of Binh Duong with partners and friends in Asia and around the world, following the success of the Horasis Asia Meetings 2018, 2019 and the Horasis India Meeting 2022, Binh Duong PPC coordinated with Horasis to host the Horasis Asia Meeting 2023 from December 03 to December 05, 2023.

Speaking at the welcome party, Permanent Vice Chairman of the PPC Mai Hung Dung emphasized, with the theme "Viet Nam's development success", Binh Duong hoped to bring to delegates a multi-dimensional perspective on a Viet Nam that actively integrates and contributes to the common prosperity of the region and the world.

In the context of the world situation still having many complicated and unpredictable developments, and big country competition becoming increasingly fierce, Viet Nam's economy has maintained a growth momentum. The macroeconomy is stable, inflation is controlled, national trust ranking, and international position continue to improve. Viet Nam is considered one of seven middle-income countries that have achieved a lot of progress in innovation over the past decade; is one of three countries with outstanding achievements compared to the level of development for 13 consecutive years.

As a dynamic and developing province of Viet Nam, Binh Duong has been making efforts to promote bilateral and multilateral cooperation with localities and international organizations for socio-economic development, improving competitiveness and proactive international integration. Accompanying the transformations of Asian countries and the world, with a fast, harmonious, green, and sustainable development strategy, Binh Duong's goal is to become a smart city, a modern industrial center and the country's leading locality in innovation by 2030. By 2045, it will become a smart city, a driving force for economic development of the region and the whole country.

As co-chair of the Horasis Asia Meeting 2023, Binh Duong hoped to have opportunities to cooperate with partners in the region and around the world, including Asian partners, for socio-economic development, implementing the Smart City Project, building Binh Duong urban area to develop quickly and sustainably in the future.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the PPC Mai Hung Dung thanked the Ministries, Central branches and Mr. Frank-Jürgen Richter - Chairman of Horasis for actively supporting Binh Duong province in organizing the Horasis Asia Meeting 2023.

Dr. Frank-Jürgen Richter - Chairman of Horasis emphasized that this is the 4^th time the Horasis Meeting is honored to be held in Binh Duong. He sent his sincere thanks to the leaders of Binh Duong province and Becamex IDC Corp for coordinating to organize the Meeting. The leader representatives' participation of Ministries and Central branches has symbolized the spirit of cooperation and friendship of countries, especially the Government of Viet Nam and Binh Duong province, with Horasis's events. He believed that in the coming time, the cooperative relationship between Binh Duong province and Asian partners will increasingly develop in many fields, contributing to strengthen the relationship between Viet Nam and Asian countries.
