Tan An communal house was established in 1820 and was recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) as a National architectural and artistic monument in 2014. On January 12, 2022, "Ky Yen Festival at Tan An communal house" continued to be included in the list of NICH by the MCST. This is the State's recognition and respect for this festival, and at the same time affirms the valuable tangible and intangible cultural heritage values of Tan An communal house, expressing the cultural identity of the locality, reflecting the cultural diversity and creativity of people and being inherited through many generations.

Every year, "Ky Yen Festival at Tan An communal house" is held in lunar November. This is an opportunity for local people to express their gratitude to their ancestors, demonstrating the Vietnamese people's morals "When drinking water, think of its source", "Gratitude is the sign of noble souls"; showing typical cultural activities of residents of agricultural origin, praying for favorable weather, lush land, and bountiful crops.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Vice Chairman of the PPC Nguyen Loc Ha praised the spirit of creativity, preservation, enhancement and transmission of cultural heritage values in Tan An communal house through many generations. He highly appreciated the efforts of the DCST in compiling a scientific dossier to put "Ky Yen Festival at Tan An communal house" into the list of NICH.

In order to continue to well implement the conservation and promotion of the festival values, Vice Chairman of the PPC Nguyen Loc Ha suggested the Culture, Sports and Tourism branch, Thu Dau Mot City, Tan An Ward and the Presbyterian board of Tan An Communal House continues to promote propaganda and education in order to raise awareness and responsibility of the whole society, especially the young generation in preserving and promoting the value of "Ky Yen Festival at Tan An communal house" in particular and province's intangible cultural heritage in general; the DCST soon advises on building a project to protect and promote the province's cultural heritages that have been included in the list of NICH. At the same time, it is recommended that media agencies develop programs, special pages and columns to introduce and promote cultural heritage, diversify forms of implementation to bring traditional cultural heritage to a large number of people inside and outside the province, etc.
