After screening, all children found to have congenital heart disease who are from disadvantaged families will be reviewed and supported with surgery expenses by the "Heart for Children" Program.

Implemented since October 2008, the "Heart for Children" Program is a humanitarian heart surgery program for disadvantaged children under 16 years old, implemented by the Viet Heart Foundation. After 14 years of implementation, the program has supported surgery for more than 6,000 pediatric patients, organized 81 screening programs for congenital heart disease for more than 137,000 children nationwide.

Currently, each year in Vietnam, there are still 8,000-10,000 children with congenital heart disease, most of which fall into poor families in remote and isolated areas where medical facilities are difficult. However, if congenital heart disease is detected early and treated promptly, the possibility of cure will be very high.
