PORTAL - On the morning of June 23, at Binh Duong Administrative Center, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thao – Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee received the delegation of the Ministry of Science and Arts of Hessen state, Federal Republic of Germany led by Mr. Manuel Stock - Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Science and Arts of Hessen state.
Also in attendance were Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha - Member of Provincial Standing Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) and leaders of departments, committees and branches.
At the meeting, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hoang Thao informed the Delegation of some contents about the socio-economic development situation and investment attraction in Binh Duong province in the first 6 months of 2022. Over the years, the province has always made efforts to improve the investment environment, reform administrative procedures, and enhance competitiveness. As of April 2022, Binh Duong province has 18 investment projects of German enterprises with a total investment capital of more than 55 million USD. Investment in development of education and training of high-quality human resources is also paid special attention by the province. Besides promoting socio-economic development, Binh Duong also actively expands bilateral and multilateral cooperation. In the coming time, Binh Duong will continue to explore and promote the establishment of friendly cooperative relations between the province and Darmstadt city (Hessen state, Federal Republic of Germany). This is a science city, thereby continuing to connect and promote cooperation in the field of science and technology; smart city development; digital city, etc.

Mr. Manuel Stock congratulated Binh Duong on the achievements in recent years. He believed that the role of high-quality human resources is very important for the development of a country. Vietnamese-German University (VGU) is the first university in the project of building a new model university, established on the basis of an inter-governmental agreement between Vietnam and Germany, starting with the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam and the Ministry of Science and Arts of Hessen state. With a pioneering and ambitious model, the university harmoniously combines the Vietnamese higher education curriculum framework with German academic models and standards. This is the result of a special bilateral effort between the Governments of Vietnam and Germany. To date, the university has achieved many achievements and is proud to assume its role as a competent partner for academia, industry and society at large.

He expressed his joy and excitement when VGU's new campus in Binh Duong province is about to be completed and put into operation. This will be the premise to continue writing the success story for VGU as well as the cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Germany, training human resources for sustainable development, actively contributing to the development of Vietnam in general and Binh Duong in particular.

Talking more with the delegation, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hoang Thao said that in March 2022, the delegation of Binh Duong province visited and worked with Hessen state on cooperation between the two sides and promoted the signing of a cooperation agreement in the field of building a parallel vocational training school according to the German model. In the coming time, Binh Duong wishes to learn and cooperate in the field of training and development of high-quality human resources with partners in Hessen state and in Germany. Binh Duong province will support and create favorable conditions for VGU, and at the same time highly appreciate the training and research activities of the University, contributing to providing high quality human resources for Binh Duong in particular and the Southeast region in general.
