​PORTAL - On the morning of May 19, Binh Duong provincial leaders attended the Launching ceremony of "Tree planting festival, forever grateful to Uncle Ho" on the occasion of the 132th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2022) and attended many activities within the framework of Workers' Month, Humanitarian Month 2022.

​* Attending at Dinh Hoa Ward, Thu Dau Mot City were Mr. Nguyen Van Loi - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; leaders of a number of departments, branches and Thu Dau Mot city.

Implementing the teaching of President Ho Chi Minh "For the sake of ten years, we must plant trees, for the sake of 100 years, we should cultivate people", over the years, Thu Dau Mot City has focused on implementing many solutions to promote the movement of planting, protecting and taking care of trees, which has received consensus and positive response from the people. Up to now, the city has completed 105 parks and gardens, the ratio of green tree areas is about 23 m2/person.

At the General Shoes Co., Ltd (Thuan An City), Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi visited, encouraged and presented gifts to workers in difficult circumstances. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee highly appreciated the enterprise for recovering well its production and business, taking good care of the workers. He suggested that the company's leaders continue to care about the material and spiritual life of workers, because workers are an important resource contributing to the development of the enterprise. At the same time, he wanted workers to share difficulties with the enterprise, unite and agree with the enterprise to perform well the production and business tasks, and build the enterprise to develop more and more.

At the ceremony, the delegates planted 180 trees, including 80 jacaranda trees and 100 padauk trees. These are not only two types of trees that create shade, but also have aesthetic value to create landscapes for buildings. After the launch ceremony, a series of 7 wards in the city joined forces to respond to the scattered tree planting campaign, contributing to increasing the proportion of urban green trees and protecting the green - clean - beautiful environment.

After that, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thao attended the launching ceremony of "Humanitarian Month" 2022 with the theme "Connecting the community - Spreading acts of kindness" and Zero-dong market for people with difficult circumstances in Di An city, organized by the Red Cross Society of Di An city.

At the ceremony, the Red Cross Society of Di An city presented 350 gifts to disadvantaged people and people with visual impairment in the city (each gift is worth nearly 700,000 VND).

The delegation also attended the inauguration ceremony of An Son 44 Bridge connecting An Quoi and An Phu hamlets, An Son commune. On this occasion, the City Red Cross Society also presented 31 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND to poor and disadvantaged people in the locality.

Visiting and presenting gifts to 2 workers in Lai Thieu and Binh Nham wards, Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh graciously visited and asked about their family situation, health status, job and presented each worker a gift and 1 million VND in cash; the Labor Confederation of Thuan An City presented 500,000 VND for each situation.

According to the plan, in 2022 Dau Tieng district strives to plant 10,000 hopea odorata and dipterocarpus alatus trees. From 2020 to now, the whole district has planted 23,480 hopea odorata and dipterocarpus alatus trees, scattered at schools, commune cultural centers, hamlet offices, cemetery land, public land, roads, and people's land. After that, the delegation attended the activities of the Workers' Month and the Humanitarian Month 2022; participated in the program of presenting the Red Cross House to Mrs. Tran Thi Chanh, a poor household with social protection and difficulties in Vung Tay hamlet, Long Tan commune.

On this occasion, Dau Tieng district also organized the handover of the Red Cross house to the family of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Bieu, Rach Kien hamlet, Thanh Tuyen commune; visited and presented gifts to 2 families of workers with extremely difficult circumstances in Thanh Tuyen commune.

* In Bac Tan Uyen district, Mr. Vo Van Ba - Member of Provincial Standing Party Committee, Head of Internal Affairs of Provincial Party Committee and more than 200 officials, civil servants, public employees and youth union members in the district planted 200 dipterocarpus alatus trees at the district Center for Culture, Sports and Radio, contributing to widely propagandizing, raising awareness, roles and responsibilities of all classes of people for activities of protecting natural resources and environment.

Over the past time, the district has always focused on developing green areas with a coverage rate of nearly 70%. In the 2022 - 2027 period, the district sets out a plan to plant 1.3 million new trees throughout the area.

After the launching ceremony, leaders of the PPC and local authorities planted 250 new dipterocarpus alatus trees on the campus of Tan Hiep Secondary School.

Next, the delegation went to the People's Committee of Hoi Nghia ward to attend the "Zero-dong Fair" launched by the Provincial Red Cross Society. The fair presented 100 gifts to poor, near-poor households and workers in difficult circumstances due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Each gift is worth 300,000 VND including rice, vegetables, tubers and other essential items campaigned and donated by the Red Cross Society of Tan Uyen Town. The delegation also visited and presented gifts to 2 families of workers with difficult circumstances in Hoi Nghia ward; attended the handover ceremony of the Red Cross house to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ke's family in Quarter 4, Hoi Nghia Ward, Tan Uyen Town.
