IDC Corp introduces about potential and investment opportunities in Binh Duong
Mr. Le Phu Hoa said that in 2021, Binh Duong was one of the provinces and cities heavily affected by the 4th Covid-19 pandemic wave. Immediately after the pandemic was controlled and returned to the new normal, the province quickly implemented measures to support enterprises to reproduce and restore socio-economic conditions. By the end of 2021, the province's foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction maintained positive results, with nearly 2.7 billion USD, exceeding 36% over the same period. Accumulated up to now, the province has 4,040 FDI projects with a total registered capital of 38 billion USD. In which, Germany has invested in 18 projects with a total registered capital of more than 50 million USD.
In order for German enterprises and investors to understand clearly about the potential, competitive advantages, as well as preferential mechanisms and policies to attract investment in the areas Binh Duong prioritizes to attract investment, the representative of Becamex IDC Corp introduced the investment environment of Binh Duong and the projects being developed by Becamex IDC to meet the investment needs of enterprises. Especially the orientation to build Binh Duong Smart City in the coming time; construction progress of Science and Technology Industrial Park and World Trade Center Binh Duong New City. Building transport infrastructure connecting the region, a system of logics, training high-quality labor force and investment incentives of Vietnam. This is the driving force for Binh Duong province to attract foreign investors to the region, creating a remarkable development in investment attraction. In the development strategy, Binh Duong province will continue to implement the project "Binh Duong Innovation Region" with the planning of Science and Technology Industrial Park, innovative startup ecosystem, promoting the proportion of services, especially e-commerce and international trade with the typical project which is the World Trade Center Binh Duong New City. Recently, Becamex IDC has put into operation Area 2 - Dinh Hoa social housing and broke ground to build 20,000 social housing units to best support workers to settle down and feel secure in production.
Discussing at the conference, German enterprises were concerned about the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic in the new normal and solutions in Binh Duong's pandemic prevention and control in the coming time in order to create more favorable conditions for enterprises to do business effectively. Besides, enterprises also learned more about some areas attracting investment of Binh Duong in the coming time.
