Domestic petroleum prices increase lower than the world
In the morning, National Assembly deputies focused on questioning a group of issues in the field of Industry and Trade such as: Situation of production, import and supply of petroleum; the management of petroleum prices over the past time; the implementation of resolutions and conclusions on questions of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee related to market management, prevention and combat of smuggling, counterfeit goods, poor quality goods and goods of unknown origin; solutions to ensure the circulation, export and import of goods in the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, especially agricultural products.
The deputies raised questions about immediate as well as long-term solutions to ensure the export and import of goods, especially agricultural products in the Mekong Delta; solutions to ensure harmonization of interests between the State, enterprises and people, ensuring domestic petroleum supply; causes and solutions to overcome the congestion of agricultural products at the border gate.
Regarding the supply of petroleum, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien said that recently, the world price of petroleum increased suddenly, due to supply disruptions and the Russia-Ukraine crisis. The domestic supply of petroleum is also difficult because Nghi Son Refinery has suddenly reduced its operating capacity.
Faced with that situation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has also actively advised the Government. At the same time directing the system to import enough output to make up for the shortage of Nghi Son Factory. Up to now, we have enough petroleum supply until the end of March.
