Speaking on the planning of Binh Duong province in the context of Ho Chi Minh City's development, the representative of the Southern Institute of Construction Planning proposed a multi-polar centralized development model; multi-center structure is the guiding principle, in which the development polars connect the central urban area thanks to the transport system linked to Ho Chi Minh City. Restructuring industrial parks towards high-tech development in association with re-investment in the development of high-quality, smart-oriented urban areas; gathering and increasing the density of informal settlements, not allowing development to expand and spread, etc.

At the seminar, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trong Hoai proposed the core policy of developing ecological high-tech supporting industrial parks. Accordingly, the planning and design of the industrial park campus must be suitable for the social community capable of connecting the social infrastructure inside and outside the urban area; have policies to encourage the reduction of environmental pollution by replacing hazardous materials, absorbing emissions and treating wastes; have policies to encourage recycling and reuse inside the industrial park and connecting outside the industrial park, etc.

Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuan - General Director of Becamex IDC said: "The planning must be feasible to create resources for the province to develop.
