Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi emphasized the importance of Binh Duong province's planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050. This is considered a commitment of the provincial government to investors, contributing to attracting investment in the coming time. In addition, the planning has identified the role of Binh Duong in the development of the region. The orientation and development space of Binh Duong must be commensurate with the development in the Southern Key Economic Region. Therefore, the Secretary suggested experts to objectively evaluate and come up with appropriate and specific solutions to contribute to the construction of the Binh Duong provincial planning to achieve the set goals.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Pham Tuan Anh - Technology Development Director of Becamex IDC cited outstanding achievements in the development of Binh Duong over the past time and clarified the reason why Binh Duong achieve those results; at the same time propose the contents in the construction of the provincial planning in the coming time. According to Dr. Pham Tuan Anh, the provincial planning must highlight the development of the innovation ecosystem in all fields; build a system of resettlement housing and social housing to meet the needs of workers' settlements and occupations; build e-government to serve people and enterprises well. Binh Duong also has to overcome the middle-income trap under the 06-pillar strategy. Among them, avoiding the interrupted development traps through legacy development; avoiding the labor productivity traps through innovation-driven development; avoiding the urbanization traps through coordinated development.

In the presentation "Some suggestions on transforming the growth model of Binh Duong", Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Hieu - Vietnamese-German University said that Binh Duong needs to create new values; build an ecosystem of industrial products and an ecosystem of key service industries. Simultaneously approaching the transformation of regional space, travel in new spatial structure, new technology, new needs; the transformation of manufacturing, innovative services, etc.

Proposing methodology for planning Binh Duong province, Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Hong Thuc - Settlement Research Institute, Vietnam National University, Hanoi emphasized, planning and practice must go hand in hand; during the planning process, the province needs to integrate specialized planning to make the planning more flexible. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Thuc also pointed out the very favorable advantages of Binh Duong for the development of transport and industrial infrastructure. In particular, the geographical position plays a very important role to promote the development of Binh Duong. She also proposed 06 pillars and development goals that Binh Duong province's planning needs to pay attention to, which is legacy development; innovation development; integrated development; green development; open development and overall development. In which, long-term strategic goals are established to guide overall development, and development spaces are established.
