Over the past time, the management, supply and use of information in cyberspace has always been of interest to Binh Duong province. The province has mobilized the strength of the entire political system from the local to the grassroots, coordinated the responsibility between the authorities, organizations and unions, between the family and the school, between individual consciousness and community movements, towards the goal of joining hands to build a healthy and safe social network in Vietnam, contributing more and more actively and effectively to the development of the entire society. Currently, in the province, there are 27 general electronic information sites, 1,140 points for providing public video game services licensed to operate.

At the meeting, representatives of Binh Duong province's departments and branches presented a number of difficulties and inadequacies in the management of current websites and social networks. Accordingly, the model of directing and managing information on websites and social networks is almost based on the official press management model; management solutions are not synchronous, mainly dealing with consequences when incidents and rumors occur; passively depends on the cooperation of foreign enterprises in preventing and removing infringing information, etc. The Law on Advertising has not specifically adjusted for advertising activities on foreign social networks supplied across borders into Vietnam such as Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, etc. while in reality this advertising activity is growing fast and difficult to manage, thereby creating unhealthy competition in the advertising field between mass media and social networks. The inspection, examination and handling of advertising activities on social networks faces many difficulties due to the lack of tools, human resources, coordination mechanism for inspection and handling of relevant functional branches.
The members of the Supervisory Delegation discussed with the province about the coordination in handling information on social networks that has affected the honor and reputation of officials and civil servants as well as the direction and administration of the province; ways of managing and orienting information for the labor force, especially young workers; safeguarding for children in the network environment; human resources to meet the requirements of digital transformation, building a smart city, etc.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Education Dang Xuan Phuong highly appreciated the state management of Binh Duong province in the management, provision and use of information on websites and social networks. He suggested the province continue to pay more attention to this work, invest in cultural institutions to meet the cultural and spiritual life of the people. At the same time, promoting propaganda, education on awareness and skills, and improving the "immunity" of people, especially young people, against bad and toxic information on the network.
