Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Loc Ha said that 2021 is the year Binh Duong province experiences unprecedented difficulties and challenges. The 4th wave of Covid-19 pandemic and complicated developments seriously affected people's health and lives and negatively impacted all aspects of the province's socio-economic life. However, up to now, the province has basically controlled the pandemic, returned to the "new normal", and quickly restored production and business. Targets of the province's socio-economic development plan in 2021 reached and exceeded 21/32 targets. In which, the province's gross regional domestic product (GRDP) is estimated to increase by 2.62%; GRDP per capita reached 152.25 million VND; total budget revenue reached 61,200 billion VND; trade surplus reached 6.8 billion USD. In the context of the pandemic, the province still attracted over 2 billion USD in foreign investment, exceeding 14.9% of the year plan.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the achievements that the province has achieved are thanks to the significant contribution of the press agencies and the team of journalists. In the past year, the press has closely followed political tasks, actively participated in propagating and disseminating guidelines and policies of the Party and laws of the State; being both a sharp tool to fight against negative manifestations, as well as a public forum to reflect people's aspirations and create consensus in society. The Central press, inside and outside the province have paid attention to information about Binh Duong, promptly encouraged the efforts of the leaders and people of the province, helping the province continue to unleash resources, especially international resources through investment projects in the province. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee respectfully acknowledged and praised the contributions of the press agencies and the team of journalists inside and outside the province to the socio-economic development of the province during the past time. At the same time, he wished that the press agencies would continue to pay attention to introduce socio-economic achievements of Binh Duong, beautiful images of Binh Duong land and people to compatriots nationwide and international friends.

The efforts of the press agencies in the work of information, propaganda and mobilization of people and enterprises for Covid-19 prevention and control have made an important contribution to helping Binh Duong control the pandemic. He affirmed, Binh Duong province's leaders are always open and ready to share information so that press agencies can work together to build solutions for the province to develop more and more sustainably, civilized and modern. On the occasion of the Nham Dan New Year 2022, the Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee wished the team of journalists good health, happiness, and many new victories.
