According to the signed content, the two sides will strengthen the cooperative relationship through MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions) activities, tourism and cultural fields. Mr. Soon Kyun Jung - Chief of Gangnam district said, Gangnam is an important economic center in Korea, where most of the global companies and brands are gathered, such as Google, Microsoft, Apple and Facebook. The total value of GRDP is 55 billion USD. Gangnam wished to promote activities in Vietnam and Southeast Asia to promote the development of tourism and cultural industries. In addition, Gangnam also wished to promote economic exchanges through business matching programs as well as trade promotion exhibitions for enterprises in the region. He hoped that this agreement would be an opportunity to strengthen diplomatic relations with Vietnam as well as Southeast Asian countries and contribute to the exchange and promotion of Korean culture.
