​PORTAL - The Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control - Search and Rescue of Binh Duong Province informs about the situation of high tides in the Saigon River downstream.

According to the warning on October 04, 2021 of the Binh Duong Hydro-meteorological  Station, in the days of October 08 and 09, 2021 (ie, September 03 and 04 of the Tan Suu year), the water level in the Saigon River downstream will be at the high tide level; the highest daily high tide level will appear in the morning from 06:30 to 08:00, in the afternoon and evening from 17:00 to 20:00 and is likely to be from 1.63m to 1.68m, 0.03 to 0.08m higher than alarm III at Thu Dau Mot station (Ba Lua port).

It is necessary to watch out for high tides in combination with rain, which can cause bank overflow, flooding in low-lying areas along the Saigon River. Specifically, Thu Dau Mot city includes the following areas: Doan Tran Nghiep Street, Thay Nang canal, Ong Danh canal, Phu Cuong ward; Quarters 5 and 6, Phu Tho Ward; Quarters 8, 9, Nguyen Tri Phuong street, Thu Ngu canal, Bau Bang canal, Chanh Nghia ward; the area outside Tan An dike and some low-subsidence and low banks of Ba Co canal, Chanh My ward; Cau Xay canal, Tuong Binh Hiep ward.

Thuan An city: Vam Bung canal, Hung Dinh ward; branches of Cau Lon canal, the area outside the An Son - Lai Thieu dike in Lai Thieu, Binh Nham wards, An Son commune; Ba Hoc canal, Binh Phuoc quarter, branches of Binh Nham canals, Binh Thuan quarter, Binh Nham ward; canals of Mieu, Sau Em, Cau Nho, Ba Tam, Thanh Loc quarter, An Thanh ward; subsidence and low embankments and canal banks in Vinh Phu ward.
