In the last 24 hours, Binh Duong recorded 2,998 new cases of Covid-19, which reduced by 230 cases compared to September 15. In which, the infected cases were mainly found in blockade areas with 2,877 cases (accounting for 96%), through community screening tests with 52 cases (accounting for 1.7%); 48 cases were confirmed by PCR in the temporary isolation ward (accounting for 1.6%) and 21 cases were detected at medical facilities (accounting for 0.7%).

By residential area, Thuan An City had 1,455 cases (blockade areas: 1,384 cases, community screening tests: 37 cases, PCR confirmative results at temporary isolation area: 27 cases, medical facilities: 07 cases); Tan Uyen Town had 995 cases (blockade areas: 994 cases, PCR confirmative results at temporary isolation area: 01 case); Ben Cat Town had 439 cases (blockade areas: 404 cases, PCR confirmative results at temporary isolation area: 15 cases, community screening tests: 10 cases, medical facilities: 10 cases); Thu Dau Mot City had 46 cases (blockade areas: 44 cases, PCR confirmative results at temporary isolation area: 01 case, medical facilities: 01 case ); Di An City had 44 cases (blockade areas: 37 cases, community screening tests: 05 cases, medical facilities: 02 cases); Phu Giao District had 07 cases (blockade areas: 04 cases, PCR confirmative results at temporary isolation area: 03 cases); Bac Tan Uyen District had 06 cases found in blockade areas; Bau Bang District had 05 cases (blockade areas: 04 cases, PCR confirmative results at temporary isolation area: 01 case); Dau Tieng District had 01 case found through PCR confirmative results at temporary isolation area.
During the day, 2,109 patients have been treated, 46 deaths occurred. Currently, Covid-19 treatment facilities in the province are treating 47,299 patients.
Since the 4th outbreak, Binh Duong has recorded 169,073 Covid-19 cases, 1,549 patients died.

The whole province has 35,331 people under concentrated isolation including: 694 F1, 11,615 rapid test cases waiting for confirmative testing; 23,022 F0 cases without symptoms. 6,491 F1 cases and 5,972 F0 cases are isolated at home.
From August 02, 2021, Binh Duong has proceeded the large-scale testing in the 2nd and 3rd phase through rapid testing and PCR testing for 5,389,997 turns of people. According to the results, 123,121 cases were found positive (accounting for 2.28%). PCR samples were taken for 134,631 workers of 166 companies, 389 cases were found positive.
Cumulatively, the Report system reported that 1,908,969 doses of vaccine were injected (1,855,495 1st doses and 53,474 2nd doses).
On September 16, 2021, the province provided support for 9,666 cases, with a total amount of VND 20.811 billion. Cumulatively, 3,130,858 cases have been supported with the total amount of VND 1,761.629 billion.
