Donating 4,000 welfare gift bags to disadvantaged people in Tan Uyen Town

​PORTAL - On September 14, authorized by the Ministry of Finance and Bao Viet Group, Bao Viet Binh Duong Company organized to donate 4,000 welfare gift bags, totaling 1.2 billion VND to Tan Uyen Town to support disadvantaged people due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in the area.

​​Attending were Ms. Tran Thi Kim Lan - Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Duong province.

Ms. Nguyen Bich Thuan - Deputy Director of Bao Viet Binh Duong Company said that this time the Ministry of Finance and Baoviet Group supported 4,000 gift bags to hand-deliver to people who are facing difficulties due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in Tan Uyen town. Each gift bag is worth 300,000 VND, including essential goods to promptly support and share a difficult part of people's life in the "red zone" of Tan Uyen Town during social distancing.

Right in the day, Baoviet Binh Duong coordinated with the Post Office to transport more than 190 gift bags to people in Uyen Hung ward. The remaining gifts will be distributed by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Tan Uyen town to the remaining wards to continue to provide support to the disadvantaged people.

Receiving support, Mr. Tran Thanh Lam - Chairman of the People's Committee of Uyen Hung ward said that during this outbreak, Uyen Hung ward is one of 7 localities in Tan Uyen town implementing "freeze and lockdown". The prolonged distancing has greatly affected people's lives, especially workers and employees staying at boading houses. Therefore, the support of the Ministry of Finance and Baoviet Group is of great significance, helping the locality to have more conditions to take care of the disadvantaged people's lives during the distancing days against the pandemic, thereby contributing to together with localities to well implement the Covid-19 prevention and control in the area.
