In which, the infected cases were mainly found in blockade areas with 3,478 cases (accounting for 94.6%), through community screening tests with 143 cases (accounting for 3.9%); 30 cases were detected at medical facilities (accounting for 0.8%) and 25 cases were confirmed by PCR in the temporary isolation ward (accounting for 0.7%)
By residential area, Tan Uyen Town had 2,621 cases, Di An City had 445 cases, Thuan An City had 306 cases, Thu Dau Mot City had 147 cases, Ben Cat Town had 104 cases, Bau Bang District had 13 cases, Phu Giao District had 12 cases, Bac Tan Uyen District had 11 cases, Dau Tieng District had 07 cases and 10 cases were outside the province.
Compared with September 2, 2021, the localities with a decrease in the number of cases are Thuan An, Di An, Ben Cat, Phu Giao, Dau Tieng, Thu Dau Mot and Bau Bang.

On September 3, 2021, Binh Duong had 2,962 patients discharged, bringing the total number of discharged patients from the 4th outbreak to 69,039.
During the day, 5,927 patients have been treated, 44 deaths occurred. Currently, Covid-19 treatment facilities in the province are treating 55,471 patients.
Since the 4th outbreak, Binh Duong province has recorded 126,408 cases of Covid-19; 1,014 patients died.
The whole province has 42,142 people under concentrated isolation; 5,756 F0 cases are isolated at home. There are 1,354 blockade areas with 126,002 people.
From August 02, 2021, Binh Duong has proceeded the large-scale testing in the 2nd and 3rd phase through rapid testing and PCR testing for 2,977,964 people. According to the results, 71,989 cases were found positive. PCR samples were taken for 130,184 workers of 146 companies, 327 cases were found positive.
Cumulatively, the whole province reported that 1,063,054 doses of vaccine were injected (1,017,741 1st doses and 45,313 2nd doses). The province is injecting 1 million doses of Sinopharm's Vero Cell vaccine that have been allocated.
Distribution of daily cases by locality on September 3
To achieve the goal by September 15, 2021 to bring the province back to the "new normal", Binh Duong is speeding up the implementation of the Covid-19 vaccination campaign to increase community immunity coverage, control and repel epidemics, and protect people's health and lives. The target is to strive to inject 250,000 doses/day.
The province has agreed to support people with difficult circumstances in 15 wards of Thuan An, Di An and Tan Uyen which are locked (for 03 wards of Di An, An Binh and Dong Hoa of Di An city, support policies are implemented for people in the wards that are continuing to be locked), to continue strictly complying with Directive 16 to September 15, 2021 (support level 50,000 VND/person/day).
On September 3, 2021, the province provided support for 31,013 cases, with a total amount of VND 11.407 billion. Including:
- Support 216 employees who suspended labor contracts or left unpaid with the amount of VND 463.68 billion (additional support for 63 cases of pregnancy and raising children under 6 years old);
- Food support for 5,888 people who are F0 and F1 with the amount of VND 863.92 million;
- Support for 6,366 people who are employees without labor contracts with the amount of VND 9.549 billion;
As a result, the province has so far supported 2,906,080 cases, with an amount of VND 1,491,712 billion.
