At the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhat Hang - Director of the Provincial Department of Education and Training briefly reported on the branch's achievements in the 2020-2021 school year. Accordingly, in the last school year, before the complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Provincial Education and Training branch has implemented solutions to both prevent and control the pandemic and ensure the completion of the set tasks. Currently, the province has 719 schools with 505,809 students; the whole branch has 20,270 officials and employees, including 15,161 teachers. At the primary level, the new textbook program has been taught under the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training. In the 2020-2021 school year, the province won 32 prizes at the national exam, an increase of 14 prizes compared to the previous school year, including 07 second prizes, 09 third prizes and 16 consolation prizes. In particular, the results of this year's National High School Exam, Binh Duong ranked first in the provinces and cities with the average score of graduation subjects reaching 7.30 points. The exam scores in History and Geography ranked first, Foreign Language, Biology, and Chemistry ranked second, and Math and Civics ranked third.
